Choosing a PLC

If your company is involved in the design and installation of process control systems, the choice of PLC will be largely application led. On the other hand, a company which has a number of processes to automate will often standardise on a particular type of PLC for all of their applications. One reason for doing so is that there are cost implications involved with regard to hardware and software support for a particular PLC.
